A Girl and her Dragon.

I've been working on this for about the past month. I wanted to practise my animation, as well as work with Flash. And while I see room for improvement for the next (likely much shorter!) animation, I'm pleased that I finished this.

This was drawn, cleaned up, and coloured in Flash. The effects and compositing were done in After effects, and then exported from Premiere. I'd love to learn more about exporting, because that took *forever*. Holy cow.

Crafty projects.

Since I come from a long line of crafty people, I thought I'd show off a couple.

These are some Christmas presents I made last year:

I have also made two functional pop up books, based on the television show Doctor Who, as gifts.

The first one:

A blog post over on Livejournal about the creation of this book. This post was actually considered one of the 100 best of Livejournals past 10 years and included in their retrospective!

The second one:

Some photos of costumes I've made, thanks to consplayers.com:

Urahara Kisuke, from the anime Bleach.

A Soldier Heartless, one of the low HP bad guys in Kingdom Hearts.

German Shepherds and some more kids.

Colouring the German Shepherd sketches I did before, because I really quite liked them.

Subway and Park sketching.

I tried something a little bit different with the kids, giving them one base colour and then usually a lighter and a darker version of it, though a few got one more colour than that.

Mug shots.

Some drawing and painting practise, using some rather fantastic mug shots.

I like how the older guy in the bottom right turned out, the most.
